Privacy Policy

NukeSimulator (nukesimulator.com) is an educational nuclear-explosion simulator run by an independent developer. This page explains what data the site handles, why, and what choices you have. The short version: we do not ask you to register, we do not sell data, and the only personal information we ever receive is what you type into the contact form.

What is collected

  • Server logs. Like every website, our server records the IP address, browser type, time, requested page and referring page of each visit. Logs are used for security and traffic statistics and are deleted automatically after a limited period. They are not linked to any identity.
  • Simulation parameters. When you detonate a virtual weapon, the parameters of that scenario (coordinates, yield, weapon preset, options) are stored so that a permanent link can be generated and the recent detonations map can be drawn. These records contain no name, e-mail or account — only the scenario itself.
  • Contact form. If you write to us, your name, e-mail address and message are delivered to our mailbox and used only to reply. They are not added to any mailing list.

Cookies and local storage

The site stores your interface preferences — language, units, sound on or off, terrain layer — in your browser's local storage; this data never leaves your device. A technical session cookie protects forms against forgery. Beyond that, cookies are set only by the analytics and advertising services described below. You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings; the simulator will keep working.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are visited, from which countries and on which devices. The data reaches us only in aggregated form and does not identify you. Google's own description of this processing is in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services; you can disable the measurement with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

The site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Google and its certified partners use cookies, including the Google advertising cookie, to show ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites and to measure their performance. You can manage personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings or opt out of third-party ad cookies at aboutads.info. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before any personalised advertising cookies are set. We have no access to the data these services collect.

Third-party map services

Map tiles, satellite imagery and elevation data are loaded directly from third-party map providers. When your browser requests a tile, the provider receives your IP address and the coordinates of the area being viewed, exactly as with any online map. We do not forward anything else to them.

Embedded maps

Site owners can embed a scenario map in an iframe. The embedded map is served by nukesimulator.com and is covered by this policy; the hosting site's own policy applies to the rest of that page.

Children

The site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal data through the contact form, write to us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can ask what personal data we hold about you (in practice, only correspondence you have sent us), request its correction or deletion, or object to its processing. Visitors from the EU and UK have these rights under the GDPR; we honour the same requests from everyone. Write to the contact page or directly to [email protected]. We answer within 30 days.
